Warranty & repairs

If something you bought from us is faulty, this is what you are entitled to.

Your rights under the Consumer Protection Act

South Africa's Consumer Protection Act gives you an implied warranty of quality on everything we sell. Goods must be fit for their normal purpose, of good quality, free of defects, and last a reasonable time for the way they are normally used.

  • Six months. If an item fails that standard within six months of delivery, you can return it at our risk and expense.
  • Your choice. You decide whether we repair it, replace it or refund what you paid.
  • If a repair does not hold. If the same fault returns, or a new one appears, within three months of a repair, we must replace the item or refund you.
  • Repairs carry three months. Parts fitted in a repair, and the work to fit them, are covered for three months.

The warranty does not cover ordinary wear and tear, misuse, or goods sold to you in a stated condition that you agreed to accept.

Manufacturer warranties

Manufacturer warranties on bats, helmets, shoes and other gear apply on top of your rights under the Act. Each brand sets its own terms. Keep your proof of purchase: brands ask for it.

About bats. A bat is natural willow, and the makers are clear that small surface cracks on the face and edges come with normal use. Bat makers generally do not treat damage from poor knocking in, too much or too little oil, wet or heat, or toe damage from yorkers as a fault. Our product care page explains how to prepare and look after a bat.

How to report a faulty item

  1. Note your order number, or keep your till slip if you bought in store.
  2. Take clear photographs of the fault, and one of the whole item.
  3. Send them to the online team on WhatsApp or [email protected], or bring the item to any branch.

We will look at it and, where needed, take it up with the brand for you.

For returns that are not faults, such as the wrong size or a change of mind, see returns and exchanges.
